Iniziamo con i numeri, da un’articolo pubblicato da Punto Informatico, evinciamo che gli utilizzatori di Firefox sono in un anno quasi raddoppiati passando a circa 125 milioni di utenti, quelli di Internet Explorer 7 sono 300 milioni. Ma come mai Firefox ha guadagnato così tanti punti?

Assolutamente il migliore, e non lo dico perchè tra tutti è stato quello che fino ad ora ha funzionato meglio; questo antivirus ha infatti vinto numerosissmi awards provenienti da ognidove. Rispetto ai concorrenti, è velocissimo, non occupa risorse anche lavorando costantemente in background, le sue definizioni vengono aggiornate anche tre volte al giorno e controlla praticamente ogni cosa presente sul computer.

Per quanto possiate esserne convinti, il WinZIP non ha nessun motivo per continuare ad esistere. Oramai è diventato obsoleto, dal mio punto di vista ovviamente. Ad-Aware, consente infatti di trovare ed eliminare dal proprio computer ogni tipo di malware e spyware. Ottimo anche il supporto al software che viene infatti quasi giornalmente aggiornato nelle sue definizioni.

• Instant Messaging – MSN Messenger – Sito ufficiale

Di default è presente in windows xp, ma essendo la versione 4.7 totalmente obsoleta, lo rimuovo dopo ogni formattazione e lascio spazio alle più recenti versioni. Attualmente è in circolazione la 8.5 final, in italiano. Penso che questo software non abbia bisogno di presentazioni, è infatti, uno tra i più utilizzati software di instant messaging.

Per terminare l’elenco, voglio suggerirvi l’utilizzo di questo software. Sto parlando di VideoLAN, un ottimo programma che da un paio d’anni utilizzo. Altro non è che un player multimediale, in grado però, di leggere la quasi totalità dei formati ad oggi esistenti, oltre che video in streaming e dvd. Una particolarità che lo ha portato ad essere cosi conosciuto è sicuramente il fatto di riuscire ad eseguire anche file scaricati parzialmente oppure danneggiati.

Noi aggiungiamo come Must-have, ovviamente Firefox, non servono altre parole, personalizzazione quasi infinita come la disponibilità di plugin.ThunderBird, client famosissimo di posta elettronica e Open Office, che contiene tutti i programmi di cui abbiamo bisogno per editare documenti .pps, .ppt, .xls, .doc e quant’altro. Tutti questi programmi sono scaricabili gratuitamente, e sono comunque ottime alternative a quelli a pagamento.
