We are currently looking for help interpreting the course.kcl file, or kcl files in general! If anyone has an idea about how they work, please let me know! THIS IS NOT JUST A TEXTURE HACK! While it contains texture hacked elements, it is in fact a model hack, a reshaped course! About 3 months have passed since me and my brother first took a look into SZS files and tried to get the textures. Now we have finally managed to finish coding a very basic 3D editor for courses, so we can reshape them and stuff. Which is, of course, the beginning of completely new and completely custom courses for Mario Kart Wii. The only problem we have at the moment? Solidity mappings. It’s all very well and good being able to make a new course, but without changing solidity, there’s no way to drive on it. However, we managed to make a workaround for this hack by turning absolutely EVERYTHING solid (cuts corners everywhere, literally.) Presenting the first ever course model hack of Mario Kart Wii, creatively titled Test Circle (and in alpha stage for a very good reason!) Model hack of GBA Shy Guy Beach. Me Ts*Cool showed you a failish video of me using riivolution [CTWW] on MrBean’s making of it it’s a rubbish copy but i cant help my computer anyway i just wanted to give out a thew tips what ever you do, do not go on the ultra mushroom second shortcut on mushroom peaks it’s very hard you would proberlly need a mushroom but pros like you out there are just racing thew the shortcut like a bullet so yh that’s it i will be doing a need for speed video soon so keep your eyes peeled like bananas and subscribe this video and like it my texture hacks for mario and other characters were from Darkybenji and Venom45000vr. And i just want to ask a question is anybody knows this but can you hack on riivolution using CTWW/CTGP +Textures because that would be great thanks. Despite what this video shows, this track DOESN’T work on WFC. Unless you’re hacking it right ;) I completed correcting the checkpoints, AI routes and item routes/placement at Lava Canyon, and I called upon ARM1 and Chadderz to assist me in an online test race on the track. So, my brother (Chadderz) being the genius that he is has managed to figure out solidity on a basic level. So, I returned back to my old SNES Rainbow Road model hack and completely changed it, reconstructing the models and texturing, checkpoints, item routes, AI routes, etc. And Chadderz added in solidity, not 100% perfect but it’s very good indeed. The result is what you see here; the old alpha model hack cannot compete with this. This is our best work to date. I wondered what the best way to demonstrate this new course would be, so I organised an event: An invitation for any hackers capable of using the SZS Modifier or running texture/model hacked courses to participate in a recorded GP around SNES Rainbow Road. The result was a grand total of 8 players across 6 Wiis, which is fantastic ;) I will only upload the first part of the GP (first 2 races) because sadly after that one quite a few people were disconnected.
