Download Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 for Windows or Mac OS X, iOS 4.2.1 GM and iOS 4.1 IPSW for iPod Touch 4G/3G/2G. All download links on top 2. First update your iPod Touch to iOS 4.2.1 GM downloaded in Step 1 via iTunes. [BACK UP UR SHIT] 3. Launch Redsn0w and point it to iOS 4.1 IPSW for your iPod Touch. After Redsn0w identifies the IPSW, click Next. Note: You should point to iOS 4.1 (current firmware) and NOT iOS 4.2.1 FW. Otherwise you will get the error message saying ‘Unable to recognize specified IPSW’. 4. Let Redsn0w prepare jailbreak data by patching the kernel. After this is done, click Next to continue. 5.
